Getting to know Cynthia…..
Life has dished out a plethora of stories with messages that Cynthia delights in sharing through her children’s stories and devotionals. She loves to practice the art of worship in the woods, beach and garden with her nature journal. Cynthia recently completed the manuscript “Discovering God Through Nature: A Nature Devotional Journal” to invite all to seek God in nature. She is passionate in the message that knowing God is accessible to all.
Her storytelling continues as she hones her acting craft. As a voice actress she has played many characters from a dragon to a post-rapture human in dramatized audio books “Left Behind” and “Dragons in our Midst.” Her communications and theater BA from Greenville University uniquely prepared her.
Not limited to voice over Cynthia has appeared over the years in national television and internet spots, TV shows and film. Her griffon-doodle Hazel Rose is an actor dog and on occasion has joined Cynthia on set.
Cynthia is a cheerleader for children and adults with special needs. She has spent nearly two decades supporting those with special needs by working in the public school classroom and for a special recreation group. She directed stage plays and taught acting classes for adult intellectually disabled actors. She continues to cheer them on for Western DuPage Special Recreation Association as a support helper.
She and her husband live in the Chicago area surrounded by many preserves perfect for God–walk and talks. An orchid is blooming any time of year in her house, outside she calls the hummers her summer pets and milk chocolate is relished for it’s great source of dairy.
